Things Worth Knowing Before You Visit

How do I know which service my watch needs?
The clearest way is to bring the watch in — a brief bench inspection at no charge helps us understand what it needs. If the watch is running, stopping intermittently, or has cosmetic wear you would like addressed, a short conversation at the shop usually points things in the right direction.
How long does a quartz refresh typically take?
Most quartz refreshes are completed within two to four working days. We will give you a clearer estimate once the watch is on the bench and we have assessed what is involved, since some pieces need a little more attention than others.
What does the Long-Form Heritage Service involve in practice?
We begin with a full assessment and a written service plan, which we share with you before any work starts. The movement is stripped down, cleaned, oiled, and regulated. The dial and case are reviewed, and any restoration steps are discussed with you first. We share photographs at key stages and provide a final written report when the watch is ready for collection.
Do you work on all watch brands?
We work on most mechanical and quartz watches across a wide range of brands, from everyday wearers to older collector pieces. If you have a watch of a particular make and are unsure whether we can help, please get in touch or bring it by — we will be straightforward with you about what is within our scope.
Are the service prices fixed or can they change after assessment?
The prices shown are starting points. After a bench inspection, we provide a clear written quote before any work begins. If we discover something during the service that would change the scope or cost, we pause and discuss it with you before proceeding — nothing is done without your awareness.
Can I send my watch by post?
For the time being, we prefer watch-in-person drop-offs at the shop in George Town, which allows us to do a quick visual check and record the watch's condition together with you. Please contact us first if you are travelling from outside Penang — we can discuss the best approach.
How is my watch kept secure while it is with you?
Every watch is logged on arrival with a written description of its condition and assigned a reference number. Pieces are kept in individual trays and stored in a secured area of the workshop when not actively on the bench. You will receive a collection receipt that you will need to present when picking up.

What Sets the Bench Apart

Loupe-Level Attention

Every watch is examined closely before any decision is made. The bench team documents what they find and shares it clearly.

Written Service Records

Each piece leaves with a written note of work completed and any observations — a useful reference for the watch's history.

No Rushed Decisions

We discuss the plan with you before work begins. If anything changes mid-service, we stop and check in — your comfort with the process matters.

Ultrasonic Cleaning Bay

In-house ultrasonic cleaning for movement parts ensures residue and old lubricant are fully cleared before reassembly.

Progress Photographs

For longer heritage work, photographs are taken at key stages so you can follow the process without needing to call the shop.

Rooted in George Town

A long-standing presence in Lebuh Pantai means local collectors know where to find us — and know we will still be here when they return.

— The Next Step —

Your Watch Has Waited Long Enough

Bring it to the bench. We will have a look, tell you what we see, and suggest a service at the right scope — no more, no less.
